USATF announces rosters for IAAF and NACAC XC Championships2/23/2017
INDIANAPOLIS -- 2017 USATF Cross Country champions Leonard Korir and Aliphine Tuliamuk lead Team USA into the IAAF World Cross Country Championships, set for Sunday, March 26 in Kampala, Uganda. In addition, the U.S. will host the NACAC Cross Country Championships in Boca Raton, Florida on Saturday, March 4. Team USA’s roster for the NACAC Cross Country Championships features USATF Cross Country Championships top-ten finisher Emily Pritt, who will also compete for the red, white and blue in Kampala, and Ryan Vail, who last competed for the U.S. at the 2015 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang, China. The junior champions from the 2017 USATF Cross Country Championships, Paul Roberts and Michelle Magnani, will suit up for the U.S. in Kampala, while top-three finisher, Northwestern’s Aubrey Roberts, will compete at both the IAAF and NACAC XC Championships. Team USA looks to improve upon their 2015 finishes at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. The senior women finished fifth overall, while the junior men were sixth, the senior men finished seventh in the team standings, and the junior women tallied 177 points for an eighth place finish.
